My name is Sandra Acosta and I am an artist based in New York. Since I can remember I have always loved to draw and paint making me what I consider a master color-er. I attended Pratt Institute and graduated with a BFA in Communication Design. This shifted my focus from hand drawing to mainly doing computer design work, which led to a long hiatus from any traditional forms of art. After years of abandoning what I loved most my spark was reignited and I returned to my roots.
Most of my art focuses on the beauty and emotional range of women. My drive is to personify emotions and character traits through the female figure. I love to work with watercolors, soft pastels, ink, color pencils and acrylics. Currently, I am dabbling in the digital realm with Procreate and I am finding it to be a nice hybrid of the 2 worlds I am used to.
